Edisto Beach Groin Renewal

JLS Contracting Services, LLC. fabricated, filled and staged over 35k square feet of Triton® Marine Mattresses for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Edisto Beach Groin Lengthening Project. 

Project Specifications:

• 26 extensions totaling 1,630 linear feet.
• 10,130 tons of armor stone.
• 37,800 square feet of mattress; fabricated, filled, and staged by JLS Contracting Services, LLC.
• 13 concrete caps.
• 1,165 ft of composite sheet pile.

JLS Contracting Services LLC, fabricated, filled, and staged Triton® Marine Mattresses and Heavy Geotextile over 5 different breakwaters for The Governor's Office of NY in partnership with Week's Marine, Inc.

At the north end of Longboat Key, FL; the Greer Island shoreline was unstable and prone to erosion. JLS Contracting Services fabricated, filled and staged 45k square feet of Marine Mattresses and Geocomposite, to help curb this issue and resulted in a larger beach for people and turtle nesting.

JLS Contracting Services fabricated and filled over 25k square feet of 6" Triton® Marine Mattresses, and over 2,500 square feet of 80lb geotextile rock bags for Apollo Environmental Strategies, Inc. This project also consisted of numerous Kyowa® Filter Units.

JLS Contracting Services fabricated and filled over 122k square feet of 12" Triton® Marine Mattresses for Kiewit Ledcor TMEP Partnership.

JLS Contracting Services fabricated 250k square feet of Maccaferri Polymetric Marine Mattresses.

Since the project completion in 2013, mangrove trees have been flourishing along the canal providing protection for not only the canal but for the wildlife in the mangroves.
